About These Tools

All ORH Studio tools — Sprite Slicer Pro, Sprite Sheet Packer, Sprite Animation Previewer, GIF to PNG Sequence, and Sprite Background Remover — share the same core principles: everything runs locally in your browser, nothing is uploaded to a server, and every tool is free to use without an account. The questions below apply to all of them. For questions specific to a single tool's features, see the FAQ section on that tool's own page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Every ORH Studio tool runs entirely inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and JavaScript. Your images, sprite sheets, and GIFs are never sent to any server — they stay on your device for the entire process, from upload to download. Closing or refreshing the tab discards everything, and nothing is stored or logged.

Can I use the output commercially?

Yes. Every tool is free for personal and commercial use, with no watermarks and no attribution required. The one exception is the GIF to PNG Sequence tool: the tool itself is free, but the copyright of frames extracted from a GIF you didn't create is determined by that GIF's original license — check the source before using extracted frames commercially.

Is there a file size or quantity limit?

There's no server-side limit on any tool, since no server is involved — processing happens entirely in your browser. The practical limit depends on your device's available memory. Most tools handle large sprite sheets (up to 4096×4096px), hundreds of frames, or GIFs with 100+ frames reliably on modern devices. Very large files may take a few extra seconds on low-end or mobile hardware.

Do these tools work on mobile?

Yes. Every tool works in mobile browsers on iOS and Android. Use the "From Gallery" button to select files from your photo library, or "From Files" to browse your device's file system — useful since some mobile photo pickers filter out non-standard image types like GIF. No app installation is required for any tool.

What image formats are supported?

Support varies slightly by tool, but in general PNG, JPEG, and WebP are accepted as input, and PNG is recommended whenever transparency matters since it preserves the alpha channel losslessly. Sprite Background Remover additionally accepts BMP, AVIF, and the first frame of GIFs. Output is always PNG (or ZIP of PNGs) except for Sprite Animation Previewer, which exports an animated GIF.
